I was prescribed xanax for generalized anxiety disorder, years ago.  While it seemed to work, I soon found there were side effects, I was unaware of.  I noticed I was depressed and had no real reason for feeling that way.  I also didn't like the way I had to contact my doctor when I needed to refill my prescription.  I was using my 1:1 CBD:THC tincture already for my back pain so I knew how powerful it was for anxiety in addition to pain relief, so I was ready to try it.

I increased my dose from 15mg up to 30mg on the day I stopped xanax.  After the tincture's onset, I noticed my anxiety was still under control.  I continued my higher than normal dose for 2 weeks, then I reduced it to 20mg dose and have never filled another prescription since.

For me, it has been a lifesaver.  After the fog of xanax cleared up, I noticed I was a much happier person.  I had no idea how negatively it was affecting until after I was off of it.  Thank you cannabis tincture!

Dr. Booras was my primary care physician for more than 25 years. He was an excellent clinician. When I found out he was retiring and heard about his father's personal experience with cannabis improving ALS symptoms, I thought it might help my condition. I was diagnosed with IV rectal cancer in September of 2018 at the age of 28 after having my second child. Over the past two years I have endured chemo, radiation, and two surgery’s. I started taking medical cannabis not long after starting chemo to help with the side effects (nausea and loss of appetite). After talking with Dr. Booras about the good that comes with taking the medical cannabis I have continued to take it daily to help slow the spread of cancer. It has also helped me with my anxiety and depression that I was feeling when first starting treatments. My last two sets of scans have shown that the cancer is currently not spreading to any other organs and there is little to no change in the size of the masses the doctors are currently monitoring. Dr. Booras is very knowledgeable about the medicine and does a great job helping all his patients understand how it works and how it works for each individual’s health issues. Dr. Booras has treated me like a friend since day one, and continues to follow me on this journey. I can’t thank him enough for all the time he has put in to helping me and my family.

This past year I had two major surgeries and both times I was discharged from the hospital on high doses of oxycodone. I wanted to get off of it as quickly as I could and found that when I was down to a 5mg dosage, that a dose of medical marijuana was just as good as it was! So I did that instead of the oxy and was able to get off of it in no time. What a relief that was!

How wonderful to be able to sleep at night without taking Rx drugs. I feel refreshed and rested the next morning after using medical cannabis. I also use cannabis in day time for fibromyalgia and arthritis and it’s great. I can work in my flower beds and walk a good distance and that’s good for a 77 year old !!! Thanks to Dr Booras and Peter for helping me see the benefits of medical cannabis.

I have been troubled with many years of back pain,  I went to Dr. Booras after a friend told me about him. The staff is absolutely AMAZING! They are very helpful in so many ways.

The Receptionist, Dr. Booras and Peter are the BEST.  Their education about what I could achieve with Cannabis is excellant. I am so excited because I have been taking a 1:1 ratio of oral drops and am feeling so much better! On a pain scale of 1-10 I was always a 12!  Now I am about a 4-5. They (Not a recording) personally answer calls 24/7.

I have had Rheumatoid for 10 years, at least.  I have been on numerous oral, injectable and IV Rheumatoid meds, always least 2 at a time.   I always have had to take an anti-inflammatory and something for pain, as well. I was NEVER relieved of pain,  only a slight lift of pain.  Once Medical Cannabis became legal, I was very interested in trying it out.  My parents were both taking it for different diagnoses, and having great success.   One day at my parents house, I tried rubbing my Dad's Cannabis oil on my extremely painful knuckle and in less than 15 seconds,  the pain was totally gone!!!

The beginning of 2020 I began having other issues of multiple sinus and then lung infections leading to bilateral pneumonia that would not heal, and still haven't.  I was already immunocompromised and eventually diagnosed as immune deficient.  I was taken off ALL Rheumatoid medications earlier in the year.  It was definitely time to try the natural way to help with the pain.

I came to Booras.MD and saw Dr. Booras and Peter!  The best decision I ever made!   Meeting with the two of them, they were able to look at my personal medical conditions and situation and develop a plan for me!  I felt totally comfortable with my initial visit,  which was a nice welcome.  With this Clinic,  you not only get an awesome Doctor who is amazing,  but you also get a complete consultation with Peter, a Certified Cannabis Expert who is so knowledgeable, professional and accessible!  I am so happy here!  They make an awesome team!

At this point,  I am not taking anything else for pain except Medical Cannabis and for the first time,  I'm actually getting relief of pain!  One of my concerns was I did not want to feel 'funny' in my head. I explained that to both Dr. Booras and Peter and they told me exactly what to do with dosing in order to avoid that feeling. I love that! I highly recommend Booras.MD!!  I know I'm here to stay!!

I injured my neck several decades ago in a surfing mishap. 10+ years later I started to lose neck mobility and then developed pain radiating down the left arm along with significant weakness to the point that I lost a significant amount of muscle and could no longer paddle into waves.

Symptoms continued to worsen and pain became severe. I ultimately had an MRI that showed a ruptured disc along with vertebrate degeneration. I saw a good Neurosurgeon and surgery was offered, but would require quite a bit of Rehab and about 3 months without enjoying my very active lifestyle. Yikes!

After some research I decided to give medical cannabis a try. I am cannabis naive so I had to start with low doses of a 1:1 tincture of THC:CBD taken at bedtime along with pure CBD during the day.

After slowly working up to 10 mg each of the 1:1 tincture my pain quickly dropped into the mild range with many days of no neck pain at all! The uncomfortable pins and needles sensation in my left arm has completely gone away and surgery is no longer something I am considering.

It has now been over 2 years since I started this treatment. I am sleeping very restfully and I am getting strength and muscle back in my left arm. I do not feel groggy or "high" during the day. I have actually had no side effects with treatment and was able to quit taking Gabapentin (a nerve pain medication) and anti-inflammatory medication (which have multiple side effects). I don’t have to take anything for pain other than cannabis.

The results from using medical cannabis has far exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier. If someone told me I would do this well after starting medical cannabis, I would never have believed them.

I must say I had the best experience with my change in doctors. My recommendation was up and I needed to find a cheaper renewal. I thought it would be like DocMJ, in and out in 15 minutes.

I spent more than 25 minutes with Dr. Booras. Talking about my issues and how we can do better with my treatment. He really seemed to care. I was not just a paycheck. Very refreshing!!!

Then I talk to his brother, Peter, for 30 minutes on how adding CBD could really help my situation.
