I was diagnosed with IV rectal cancer in September of 2018 at the age of 28 after having my second child. Over the past two years I have endured chemo, radiation, and two surgery’s. I started taking medical cannabis not long after starting chemo to help with the side effects (nausea and loss of appetite). After talking with Dr. Booras about the good that comes with taking the medical cannabis I have continued to take it daily to help slow the spread of cancer. It has also helped me with my anxiety and depression that I was feeling when first starting treatments. My last two sets of scans have shown that the cancer is currently not spreading to any other organs and there is little to no change in the size of the masses the doctors are currently monitoring. Dr. Booras is very knowledgeable about the medicine and does a great job helping all his patients understand how it works and how it works for each individual’s health issues. Dr. Booras has treated me like a friend since day one, and continues to follow me on this journey. I can’t thank him enough for all the time he has put in to helping me and my family.
